''Transportation Does Not Just Mean Moving Something from One Place to Another''

It shook him so much that it wasn't just limited with Mr. Dursun's persona life but also affected the Turkish Economy by causing the foundation of giant transportation companies that currently have a total annual turnover of nearly 200 million Turkish Lira.

After the coup, Dursun Gece was forced to leave his profession and in 1981, he began his career in the transportation business. He found the Alper International Transportation company that was named after his son Alper. After purchasing Özler International Transportation company, the company's new title became Alp Özler Transportation.

Their Successful Businesses Include Coca Cola and even TANAP...

Today, Alp Özler company includes Yılnak Project and Heavy Load Transportation, Alp Özler Transportation and Alp Özler Fleet Services. The company's role in the TANAP project (Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline Project) is one of the important operations that the company has performed in heavy load transportation sector. Alp Özler is one of the sub-contractors that have assumed the transportation operations of TANAP's 4th Line with Limak and Indian Punj Lloyd. The company is responsible for vehicle leasing and pipe transportation services of the TANAP project. Alp Özler has also been conducting the truck and lorry-based distribution logistics of Coca Cola's 3 factories in Turkey for the last 21 years.  There are even days when the company is capable of loading 450 vehicles. One of Alp Özler Fleet's most important operations include transportation of Pepsi and Frito-Lay. The company holds the R1, R2 and C2 authorization documents and it is planning on turning its C2 document into an L2 level.

"We Know What We're Carrying..."

One of Alp Özler Group subsidiaries Yılnak provides the group's heavy transportation services. Yılnak's motto emphasized its sense of mission and responsibility: "We Know What We're Carrying..." The company has enough equipment to carry 450 tons. Alp Özler Transportation conducts the transportation businesses of the group and it has a fleet of 120 vehicles that mostly comprise of Mercedes Axor and MAN TGX models. The company has branch offices in Ankara, Elazığ, Mersin, Çorlu and İstanbul. The company transports furniture from Kayseri and Konya to Greece.

 Company's 2018 Annual Turnover Is Nearly 200 Million TL

As you know, the biggest issue in the transportation sector is the imbalance between imports and exports. Transportation companies carry cargo to abroad but they can't bring anything back with them. This forces most transportation companies to struggle against difficult economic issues. And yet, we've learned that Alp Özler Group's annual turnover is nearly 200 Million Turkish Lira. Yılnak's total invoice to TANAP in 2016 and 2017 is about $ 40 Million. We've asked the "secret" behind his business to Dursun Gece who said: "Rather than constantly looking for new jobs, we focus on research and project monitoring aspects. We're not trying to just carry anything out there just for the sake of it. Transportation does not just mean moving something from one place to another. Transportation is a complicated service."

There Is an Alp Özler Constitution

Even though Dursun Gece was forced to officially leave his teaching profession, he still actively continues to "teach" in both his family and his companies. So much so that, he even prepared an Alp Özler Constitution where he regulates the family and company rules. This constitution contains articles about which child can use which brand cellphone at what age, how expensive of a car they can drive, how family and company achievements will be awarded, how to establish relations between siblings as well as articles on protecting family's unity. They also offer regular trainings for the executive personnel, sales employees and drivers working in their Company groups. There are over 30 employees working in the companies.
