DAF OFFERS A COMPLETE RANGE OF ADVANCED SAFETY FEATURES

DAF Trucks further extends the already industry-leading safety and driver comfort of all Next Generation DAF models by adding a complete suite of new Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) ex works.

These new systems will be offered as standard on all DAF XB, XD, XF, XG and XG+ models as of January 2024.

DAF TRUCKS CONTINUES TO EXPAND ITS TURKEY NETWORK WITH KAYILAR GROUP

DAF Trucks Turkey has added a new DAF TRP+ workshop to its Turkish network. With the addition of the new service to the family, there has been a total of 20 DAF certified workshops in the Turkish network now.

The new service, located in Northern Cyprus, officially opened its doors within Kayılar Automotive & Garage on October 13. Kayılar Group, one of the well-known companies in the region, works with many brands including TEMSA and BMC.

DAF COMPONENTS INTRODUCES NEW POWERTRAIN FOR URBAN AND INTERCITY BUSES

DAF Components has introduced a brand new series of PACCAR MX-11 and PACCAR MX-13 engines for urban and intercity buses.

Thanks to the high torque at low revs, the engines offer the lowest fuel consumption, longest service intervals and an excellent driving ability; and for minimal CO2 emissions, the new powertrains work perfectly with HVO biodiesel.

The new generation PACCAR MX-11 (with power outputs from 220 kW/299 hp to 330 kW/449 hp) and MX-13 (315 kW/428 hp to 390 kW/530 hp) engines are based on the recently introduced power units for the successful XD, XF, XG and XG+ truck series. These engines will now also be offered for urban and intercity bus applications.

Actros L Edition 3, which will be available in limited numbers in Turkey, combines new luxury comfort and design features with the most successful versions produced before this model. Launched with the most powerful engine in the Mercedes-Benz truck portfolio, Actros L Edition 3 makes a difference with its 625 HP engine power. It combines luxury and comfort with its leather console coverings, large leather-covered SoloStar seating area, extra-wide bed, external sunshade equipped with integrated LED headlights and eye-catching "Edition 3" lettering detail. The vehicle offers impressive performance and driving pleasure to all drivers thanks to its lower fuel consumption and PowerShift Advanced transmission. Having a maximum torque of 3000 Nm, Edition 3 also has safety features such as Active Brake Assist 5 (ABA5), Lane Following Assist (LDWS), Stability Control Assist (ESP), Fatigue Detection Assist and Active Driving Assist 2 and Active Side View Assist.

SCANIA SUPER'S FUEL ECONOMY HAS BEEN REGISTERED

Being launched in 2021, Scania Super took first place in the fuel test section of the European Truck Competition (ETC), the comparison test for long-haul trucks.

This year, in the comparison test involving long-distance tractors with power up to 450 hp and torque between 2,200 and 2,400 Nm, Scania Super saved 4.9 percent more fuel than its second-place rival. The average gross weight of the truck and trailer combinations in the test was 33.6 tonnes.

Scania received the "Most Economical Truck Award", which is another proof of its title as the most efficient brand in terms of fuel consumption, confirming its sector leadership in fuel consumption and contributing to a significant amount of CO2 reduction.

In line with these figures, it has been proven that if a user who makes 150 thousand km of long distance in a year chooses the Scania brand, he will save up to 3 thousand Euros of annual fuel savings between the tractor that ranked second in the test according to  2023 EU member state figures.
