Mercedes-Benz Türk CEO Süer Sülün has emphasized the importance of Mercedes-Benz Türk in Daimler's network and said: "Thanks to the Global IT Solutions Centre inaugurated by Daimler with over 4 million Euros of investment since 2013, we export information technologies and expertise from Turkey to the whole world. In the digitalized world, companies began to change their way of business. Today, information collection and its correct analysis are among the most valuable resources for the automotive sector. Our centre was assigned very valuable tasks in Daimler's digital transformation and thanks to our achievements with each passing day, we continue to assume new tasks. In the 51-year history of our company, this centre has become one of our investments that has kept up with the changing needs of our era and thanks to this centre, we've established a centre that serves the entire world from Turkey. The fact that we can produce technological solutions in Turkey for various countries around the world, is a proud moment for not just Mercedes-Benz Türk but for our entire nation."

Daimler Global IT Solutions Centre Director Özlem Vidin Engindeniz said: "Turkey is an important and growing market for our parent company Daimler. Following India, the inauguration of Daimler's 2nd Global It Solutions Centre in İstanbul with Mercedes-Benz Türk at the end of 2013, is one of the most important examples of it."

In his statement at the meeting, Daimler IT Joint Solutions and Services Director Christoph Röger said: "As Daimler AG, our goal is to offer not just products but also an ecosystem to our customers with our passenger and load transportation solutions. That's why we've renewed our product and digital strategies under 'CASE' (Connected, Autonomous, Shared Services, Electric). Accordingly, using data and making information technology investments are becoming so much more important. The winners of the HACK.ISTANBUL, Mercedes-Benz Türk's first hackathon event that was held as part of the 5th year anniversary celebrations for the Global IT Solutions Centre, have also been announced. The finalists of "HACK.ISTANBUL" have received a total cash prize of 37.500 TL.
