"We Sell Our Own Products to The World"
Kibar Holding CEO Haluk Kayabaşı has stated that Assan Hanil is not just one of the main parts suppliers of the automotive sector but it also leads the sector with its R&D activities. Kayabaşı has indicated that they have increased the number of their R&D center employees by 35 percent in the last two years and emphasized that accordingly, Assan Hanil has achieved significant success in its sector: "Assan Hanil continues to be a global brand with seats that it produces using state of the art technologies. We are the first and only company that manufactures aircraft seats in our country, in partnership with Turkish Airlines. With the aircraft seats developed at Assan Hanil R&D Centre, we have become Airbus and Boeing's certified supplier. In addition, we make significant contribution to our national economy by reducing seat imports. We expand our expertise in vehicle seats to every segment. We have developed the air suspension driver and passenger's seats (ASD) used on bus and trucks. With the ASD, our company is now among the 5 technological companies that have developed that seat. I believe that our agreement with Ford Otosan on ASD, will take our current know-how to even further levels. We have the flexible production capability that can allow us to be located near the locations of our customers. For medium-term, our plan with ASD is to make a 40 million Euro investment and establish a production facility in Europe as well. Our feasibility studies continue for such an investment. For medium-term, our goal is to increase our global market share for the air suspension driver's seat up to 15 percent."
"We're Investing in The Future"
In his statement as part of the Technology Day, Assan Hanil General Manager Atacan Güner has indicated that the driverless and electric vehicle technologies will shape the future of the automotive sector and said: "The most important players of the automotive sector, increase their investments in this technology. As Assan Hanil, we have already begun our infrastructure operations and we're investing in the future. We decided to make an investment in Turkey for electronic parts and seat mechanisms. Electronic and autonomous vehicle-oriented product technologies are still unavailable in Turkey. With these product technologies, we will be transferring the technologies for producing these products, into Turkey."
