ANADOLU ISUZU GENERATION FACILITIES WILL PROVIDE 70% OF ITS ELECTRICITY NEEDS FROM SOLAR ENERGY

MERCEDES-BENZ TURK RELEASED ITS 100TH THOUSAND BUS FROM PRODUCTION LINE

Mercedes-Benz Turk has exported more than 62,000 buses since 1970, when it started exporting buses. The company, which exported 22,500 buses until 2008, when it produced its 50 thousandth bus, exported nearly 40,000 buses between 2008-2022. Hosdere Bus Factory, which has doubled its employment since 2008 and is one of the most technological, environmentally friendly and integrated bus production centers both in Turkey and in the world with its more than 4 thousand employees, exports 8 out of every 10 buses it produces to more than 70 countries.

Mercedes-Benz Turk, which has been one of the cornerstones of the heavy commercial vehicle industry in Turkey since 1967, has achieved a historical success by unloading its 100 thousandth bus from the bands. The third generation Mercedes-Benz Travego was the 100 thousandth bus to get off the bands of Mercedes-Benz Türk Hoşdere Bus Factory, which is one of the most technological, environmental friendly and integrated bus production centers in Turkey and the world with its more than 4 thousand employees. Mercedes-Benz Turk Hoşdere Bus Factory, in its production adventure that started with the Mercedes-Benz 0 403 model in 1995, made a significant contribution to the Turkish economy with its exports to abroad as well as its success in the domestic market.

Speaking at the ceremony held at the Mercedes-Benz Turk Hoşdere Bus Factory for the 100 thousandth bus to get off the band, Mercedes-Benz Turk Chief Executive Officer Süer Sülün said that; “In 2008, exactly 41 years after the establishment of our company, we proudly unloaded our 50,000th bus from the band. We produced our second 50,000 buses in 14 years. Today, we are proud to unload our 100,000th bus from the band. We manufacture 1 out of every 2 buses produced in Turkey, and we export 8 out of every 10 buses we produce. Today, our bus exports to more than 70 countries have exceeded 62,000 and we have realized approximately 40,000 of these exports since 2008. Currently, 6 Mercedes-Benz and Setra branded models are produced and exported in various versions at the Hoşdere Bus Factory.

MERCEDES-BENZ TURK DIRECTS TURKEY'S EXPORTS OF BUS AND TRUCK

Creating value for Turkey for 55 years, Mercedes-Benz Turk maintained its leading position in bus and truck exports in the first 9 months of the year.

During the said period, the company produced more than 17,000 trucks at the Aksaray Truck Factory and exported approximately 9,000 of these vehicles to European countries. Exporting 1 out of every 2 trucks it produces, Mercedes-Benz Türk exported 6 out of every 10 trucks exported from Turkey in the relevant period. The company also exported more than 2,000 buses to 27 countries in the January-September period of 2022.

MERCEDES-BENZ TURK STARTS TO OFFER THE THIRD GENERATION OF THE OM 471 ENGINE ON ITS TRUCKS

Mercedes-Benz Turk started to offer the new generation of the OM 471 engine, which set the standards with its previous two generations, on its trucks as of October. With its many features that increase efficiency and performance, the new generation OM 471 will be able to respond to the demands of both vehicle owners and drivers.
