“We Have Storage Services in addition to Air, Land and Sea, Port and Project Transportation”
Starting his speech by explaining the services of Global Trade & Logistics, which provides transportation to more than 10 countries with nearly 10 years of experience, Bayram said that; “We have been serving as a forwarder in the logistics industry since 2014. In addition to our air, land and sea, port and project transportation, we also provide storage services. We are also an IATA agent. We mainly transport to regions and countries such as the Middle East, North Africa, Russia, America and Spain. We also transport import cargo in the Far East. We keep up with the globalizing world and update ourselves according to new developments. We appeal to sectors such as automotive, health, food and textile.”
“We Plan To Expand To South America”
“We Have A Target to Establish Our Own Logistics Center in 2025”
Stating that they aim to increase the number of employees and service areas in 2024, Bayram said that; “We currently serve with a team of 15 people, and we aim to increase this to 50 people in 2024. At the same time, we aim to improve our business volume in existing regions and expand into new regions. While we increase our business volume in the Middle East, we plan to expand to South America as a new market. We also have a target to establish our own logistics center in 2025.”
“Transportation Has Changed Shape”
“The Mode of Transportation has Evolved to More Multimodal and Transit Transportation”
Pointing out that transportation has changed shape in ten periods, Bayram used the following expressions; “Previously, transportation was mainly based on export and import transportation. After the Russia-Ukraine war, this mode of transportation evolved into multimodal and transit transportation. The number of these transportations increased even more.”
“Most Freight Passes Through Our Country”
“There is Always Work for Our Country's Logisticians”
Underlining that although the logistics sector in Turkey is disrupted from time to time, it always finds a solution; Bayram said that; “Previously, in the crisis with Russia in 2015, the logistics industry found a solution and carried out transportation to Russia. If the logistics industry is disrupted in one place, it still finds a way to open up through another channel. Since Turkey is at an important point where Europe and Asia meet, most cargo passes through our country. I don't think logisticians in Turkey will ever experience any serious problems. On the contrary, there is always work for our country's logisticians. When the Russia-Ukraine war started, the containers destined for Ukraine again arrived at the ports in Turkey, and this continued through Turkey for five-six months. This became a new job opportunity for logisticians.”
“Rail Transportation Needs to be Improved”
Concluding his words by stating that there are deficiencies in the railway field in terms of infrastructure in Turkey, Bayram said that; “I think there is a big deficiency in rail transportation between Europe and Asia and it needs to be improved. This situation also applies to Türkiye.”
