In the same term, Scania has increased its market share to 11.9 percent with 456 units sold. In the first quarter, the total market has reached 1.875 trucks and 1.945 tractor trucks. As Scania continues its leadership of the import market with 413 tractor trucks sold, it has become the second most popular tractor truck brand of the total market.
"Market Will Continue to Grow"
Doğuş Automotive Scania General Manager İlhami Eksin has indicated that they have positive expectations from the market for 2018. Eksin said: "Looking at the last 10 years of the Turkish heavy duty commercial market, it can be seen that an average of 25-30 thousand vehicles have been sold. This is an indicator that we need a whole lot more potential. We think that 2018 will be a much more active year in both domestic transportation and international transportation. This activity will have a positive effect on the heavy commercial vehicle market."

İlhami Eksin has stated that Scania brand's sales have also grown in the global markets and said: "Scania has concluded 2017 with 90.777 units sold and achieved 16 percent market share. With the sales in the first 3 months of this year through the contribution of the New Generation Scania, the company's market share has reached 18 percent. Turkish market has also affected that growth. Strategically, Turkey is very important for Scania. As Doğuş Automotive, we have a very strong authorized dealership and service network.
