MERCEDES-BENZ TURK SIGNED TRUCKS MANUFACTURED IN AKSARAY ARE EXPORTED TO EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

Exporting one out of every two trucks produced in Turkey, Mercedes-Benz Turk continues its success in this field by exporting trucks to more than 10 countries in Europe.

It was stated that Mercedes-Benz Turk sold a total of 2,875 trucks including 883 trucks and 1,992 tow trucks, to the Turkish domestic market in the first quarter of the year. Maintaining its successful performance in the Turkish market, Mercedes-Benz Turk continues to export the trucks it produces at its Aksaray Truck Factory without slowing down.

It was stated that the trucks manufactured at Mercedes-Benz Turk's Aksaray Truck Factory were exported to European countries, especially Germany, France and Poland. It was expressed that in the first three months of the year, the country with the highest export volume was Germany with 816 trucks, followed by France with 532 trucks and Spain with 356 trucks exported.

MERCEDES-BENZ TURK HAS BEEN THE AUTOMOTIVE COMPANY WITH THE HIGHEST NUMBERS OF DOMESTIC PATENT APPLICATIONS IN 2021

Ranking third in Turkey with 168 patent applications in 2021, Mercedes-Benz Turk also achieved the title of the automotive company with the highest number of domestic patent applications. With its R&D centers, the company both contributes to the Turkish economy and carries out sustainable projects.

Hosting the R&D centers at the Aksaray Truck Factory and the Hoşdere Bus Factory and the few R&D centers of Daimler Truck in the world, Mercedes-Benz Turk continues its R&D and innovation studies. It was stated that Mercedes-Benz Turk had made a total of 168 patent applications in 2021, 76 of which were the Truck R&D team and 92 for the Bus R&D team. In line with these figures, Mercedes-Benz Turk, which is the third company with the highest number of domestic patent applications in Turkey in 2021, also achieved the title of the automotive company with the highest number of patent applications.

It was stated that Mercedes-Benz Turk received the R&D Center Certificate for the first time in 2009 with the Istanbul R&D Center, which was put into operation within the Hoşdere Bus Factory. It was expressed that the company, which has started R&D studies in bus and truck product groups since this date, accelerated its work on the truck product group with the R&D Center it established in Aksaray in 2018. It was pointed out that Mercedes-Benz Turk made a total of 509 patent applications in the 8-year period covering the 2014-2021 period.

RIZA AKGÜN TRANSFERRED HIS DUTIES TO KARTAL ERKOY AND SEMİH PALA

Rıza Akgün, who assumed the duty of CEO at the Krone Turkey factory, left the Krone Commercial Vehicles Group as of July 31, 2022 and gradually transferred the management of the Krone production factory in Tire to Kartal Erköy, Production General Manager, and Semih Pala, Finance/Sales General Manager, as of May 2022.

IVECO T-WAY RECEIVED THE AWARD IN PRODUCT DESIGN CATEGORY 2022, AT THE RED DOT AWARDS

IVECO T-Way received the prestigious Red Dot Award in the Product Design category, with the choice of almost 50 international experts from different fields. With a history dating back to 1955, the Red Dot awards focus on design quality. In order to evaluate a record number of applications, innovation level, functionality and longevity criteria are taken into consideration.

It is stated that IVECO reflects the main elements of the Way heavy product group in the design of IVECO T-Way, while it takes the form of the front grille and headlights from IVECO's DNA. Every detail in the vehicle, which is told to include a solid and stylish exterior, all-metal bumper, headlights protected with anti-shock headlight protection grille, has been taken into consideration to provide the highest functionality in off-road missions. The metallic corner of the bumper, which can be easily replaced in case of damage and protects the headlights, combines style and functionality.

In his statement, Iveco Group Industrial Design Manager Marco Armigliato stated that they are very proud of this valuable award that IVECO T-Way has received and underlined that they aim to combine this with style while raising the standards of robustness, reliability, efficiency and driver focus in their designs.

It is emphasized that IVECO T-Way is the champion of performance, robustness, durability on difficult surfaces and loading capacity with its capacity above the standards.

TIRSAN REPEATED ITS SUCCESS IN TAYSAD AWARDS

Tırsan received two awards in both export and patent categories at the 2021 TAYSAD Awards. Tırsan has been deemed worthy of TAYSAD Awards since 2016 and continued its success in 2021 as well.

TIRSAN received two awards at the Achievement Awards Ceremony held within the framework of the 43rd Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of TAYSAD (Association of Vehicles Supply Manufacturers). It was stated that Bosch was deemed worthy of the first prize and Tırsan was awarded the second prize in the category of "Members with the Most Exports". It was stated that the first prize in the "Patent" category was given to Vestel Elektronics, with Tırsan maintaining its second place.

Continuing uninterrupted production activities at five production facilities in four countries as a reliable business partner of its customers in 2021, Tırsan increased its sales and service numbers in 21 countries and continued to crown its successes. It is stated that Tırsan is the 154th largest industrial production company in Turkey in the ISO 500 research of Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises and it is among the top 100 in the Top 1000 Exporters List announced by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM). It was stated that by being 18th in its sector, it brought the power of the trailer and the sector to the top for the whole of Turkey.
