Erçal stated that Borusan Logistics, which provides warehousing, customs clearance, domestic road transport, partial transportation, auto transportation, distribution vehicle storage and pre-shipment vehicle control (PDI) services within the scope of domestic transportation, has been continuing its activities in the sector since 1973. Stating that in the field of international transportation, it carries out Chartering and multimodal transportation, international container transportation, international land transportation, international rail transportation and international air transportation operations. Erçal said that; “Borusan Logistics' air transportation operations cover more than 80 airlines with agreements in 120 countries and 275 destinations. As of the end of 2020, we have a total of 405 thousand m² of open and closed storage areas in 37 warehouses across Turkey. However, we carried 720 million desi loads in 2020, which means more than 235 thousand home deliveries in terms of volume. Our partial distribution network covers 24 distribution centers and 93 pick-up and delivery points, as well as enabling transportation from any one of the 81 provinces across Turkey to another.”

Launched in 2012, Europe's 3rd largest digital logistics platform, eTA, is the first digital logistics platform in Turkey that brings together transporters and truckers in a digital environment without intermediaries. In 2020, 420 thousand trips were carried out with eTA.”

“We Aim To Reduce Carbon Emissions”

Continuing to convey details about Borusan Logistics' digital platform eTA, Erçal said that; "In addition to providing efficiency and customer satisfaction through digitalization, another important success factor for eTA is environmental sustainability. The idle rate for FTL services in Turkey is estimated to be around 24 percent. With eTA, which offers personalized voyage recommendations and assigns the closest truckers to voyages, we aim to reduce this rate to 18 percent and reduce carbon emissions from FTL voyages.”

“We Handle Sustainability in the Focus Areas of Climate, People and Innovation”

Emphasizing that sustainability is a subject that is embraced and embraced by Borusan Group, Erçal stated that they focus on sustainability by focusing on climate, people and innovation, and that both the holding and group companies carry out various studies in this context. Erçal said that; “As Borusan Logistics, our strategy is to contribute to the 'climate' focus and to reduce the carbon emissions resulting from our operations. For this purpose, we implemented our solar energy project. We supply approximately 2,000 MWh of electricity annually with solar panels placed on the roofs of the warehouses, and we significantly reduce carbon emissions with the use of clean energy. In addition, we prefer energy efficient equipment and infrastructures in all our investments. We reduce our energy consumption every year with LED conversions, solar energy systems, heat recovery ventilation and insulation systems, efficient transport and lifting equipment.”

“We Prefer Euro 6 and Above Engines in Our Fleet Vehicles”

Emphasizing that by not allowing the use of number 10 oil with the Fast Card System they manage in all land transportation operations, they also prevent supplier-induced CO2 emissions every year, Erçal continues his words as follows; “By choosing Euro 6 and above engines in our fleet vehicles, we prevent CO2 emissions and ensure its continuity with our route optimization and awareness programs on the basis of business units. With our wing adapter, which is used in project and heavy transportation operations, we prevent tree cutting in an area of ??approximately 15 thousand m2 and ensure energy efficient transportation. We do not compromise our environmental awareness with our wing adapter operations.”

Stating that they have ensured the correct, efficient use of energy resources and emission reduction with the ISO 50001 Energy Management System and ISO 14064 Carbon Emission Verification Systems, which they have been managing since 2012, Erçal said that; “We are the first company in the logistics sector to have ISO 50001 and ISO 14064 certificates. and we share our data, which is verified every year in our sustainability report. Erçal said that; “Our priority is to provide both customer groups with a fast, smooth and accessible transaction experience. Basically, our digital transformation works continue in two areas. While focusing on the digitalization of internal operational processes, we aim to create rapid and human error-free workflows and increase the quality of service provided to customers.
