ANADOLU ISUZU WAS AWARDED BY TISK IN THE BRANCH OF “THE DIFFERENCE MAKERS FOR WOMEN”

Anadolu Isuzu was deemed worthy of an award in the category of "The Difference Makers for Women" in the "Common Futures" award organization organized by the Turkish Confederation of Employers' Unions (TISK). Anadolu Isuzu was awarded with the “Professional Development Program” project, which supports the professional development and qualified employment of women in the automotive sector.

Anadolu Isuzu won the "Benefit Creators for Women" award in the "Common Futures" award program organized by TİSK for its efforts to support women in business life. Anadolu Isuzu was awarded in the category of "Diversity and Inclusion" for its "Vocational Development Program" project, which aims to increase the professional development and employment of women in the automotive industry. “The Benefit Creators for Women” Award is given to sustainable projects that support women's employment and entrepreneurship, carry out studies for gender equality, and are implemented to empower women in working life.

It was stated that Anadolu Isuzu implemented the Professional Development Program based on the automotive industry's need for a qualified workforce with technical knowledge and skills and the fact that the labor force participation rate of women in automotive production is only 6.8 percent. Half of the participants that the Professional Development Program will bring to the sector were selected from women in line with Anadolu Isuzu's goal of contributing to gender equality. Anadolu Isuzu, while contributing to the employment of women in the production areas needed with the project, also emphasized the fact that women can work at every stage of production.

FORD TRUCKS CONTINUES ITS EUROPEAN OPENING WITH ALBANIA.

KARSAN TARGETS THE LEADERSHIP OF ELECTRIC MIDIBUS IN ITALY IN 2023

Continuing its progress in Italy, Karsan signed a framework agreement with Italy-based public procurement company Consip in 2021 for 80 e-ATAKs and now; within the scope of this agreement, it has now received an order for the first electric vehicles of Start Romagna, one of the largest operators in the country. Receiving orders from Start Romagna for 27 e-ATAKs, Karsan maintains its position as the preferred brand in electric vehicle transformation.

Offering high-tech sustainable mobility solutions with the vision of being "One Step Ahead in the Future of Mobility", Karsan continues its progress abroad. Having signed agreements that will further strengthen its structuring in Europe in line with its goals, Karsan continues to strengthen its presence in Italy, one of the most important countries in Europe in the transformation of electric public transportation. Having signed a framework agreement with Italy-based public procurement company Consip for 80 e-ATAKs in 2021, Karsan received a total of 55 e-ATAK orders from different operators within the scope of this agreement. Adding a new one to these orders, Karsan has also received an order for 27 e-ATAKs, which will be the first electric vehicles of Start Romagna, one of the largest operators of the country, under the Consip framework agreement in Italy.

With this order to be delivered in 2023, Karsan has received all orders within the framework of the framework agreement signed with Consip for 80 e-ATAKs in 2021. MERCEDES-BENZ TURK MANUFACTURED ITS 320 THOUSAND TRUCK

Mercedes-Benz Turk Aksaray Truck Factory, which has transformed Aksaray into a Mercedes-Benz city since it opened its doors in 1986, produced its 320 thousandth truck. While the 320 thousandth truck of the Aksaray Truck Factory is the Mercedes-Benz Actros, the factory's total exports exceeded 100 thousand.

MERCEDES-BENZ TURK EXPORTS BUS TO NORTH AMERICA WITH ITS NEW PRODUCTION FACILITY

Mercedes-Benz Turk is adding a new one to its global responsibilities with the new production facility it has built at the Hoşdere Bus Factory. Mercedes-Benz Tourrider, whose bodywork was manufactured in the new 6,600 square meter production facility of Hoşdere Bus Factory, also became the first bus produced by the factory from stainless steel.

Making evaluations on the subject, Bülent Acicbe, Member of the Executive Board responsible for Mercedes-Benz Turk Bus Production, said that; “We have established a new facility for the production of the Mercedes-Benz Tourrider's stainless steel bodywork. While we designed the layout, equipment and workflows of this new facility we built, within the framework of lean production principles, taking into account efficiency, ergonomics and quality, specifically for Mercedes-Benz Tourrider, we also organized our paint and assembly mass production processes. It is very important for us that the new Tourrider is the first bus introduced to the American market under the Mercedes-Benz brand, and that its production takes place in our Hoşdere Factory. I would like to thank all my colleagues who contributed to the development, production preparation and production of the vehicle. We have successfully implemented another project that is a source of pride for all of us.”

Mercedes-Benz Turk Hoşdere Bus Factory Undertook Important Responsibilities in Mercedes-Benz Tourrider's R&D Activities

It was stated that stainless steel was chosen as the raw material in the new bus project, which was created in line with the demands in the North American market, thus offering a concept that meets the expectations of the market in terms of corrosion resistance. It was also underlined that the prototypes of the stainless steel body, developed entirely by Turkish engineers within the Daimler Buses bus development network, were produced in Turkey and the assembly tests were carried out at the Hoşdere Bus Factory.

It was indicated that the applications required for commissioning the buses in production and after-sales maintenance and repairs at the service centers in America were developed specifically for these buses by the Mercedes-Benz Turkish Bus R&D Diagnosis Team. It is planned that the changes and support requests that may occur in the future regarding these applications will be met by the said team.

EXPORT OF 30 BUSES FROM OTOKAR TO GEORGIA

Turkey's leading bus brand Otokar continues to grow in export markets with its own designed and manufactured buses. SCANIA INTRODUCED NEW ENGINE PLATFORM AT BAUMA

Scania exhibited its newly launched engine platform for industrial operations and power generation for the first time at the Bauma Construction and Trade Fair. Prepared after ten years of innovation and engineering, the new engine platform stands out as the most fuel efficient engine ever, with more torque, more power and up to 50 percent longer base engine life.

Scania Engines Brand Manager Suna Türk Tuzcuoğlu, stating that Scania's leadership in engine technologies is accepted by the entire industry, said that; "The new engine platform exhibited at Bauma is an example of these efforts. The new platform provides lower carbon emissions as well as the performance and reliability our customers are used to. It also draws attention with its compatibility with biodiesel blends and HVO. We will offer these engines to our customers in the Turkish market as well."

“Maintenance times increased”

While the new engine platform was created using the latest technology, emphasis was placed on operational continuity. Maintenance intervals reached 25 thousand hours. Some of the new design features include more precise cooling, a more robust engine block and cylinder head, and a more robust engine transmission with optimum gear power. The advanced gas exchange system, reduced internal friction and increased turbocharger efficiency have a positive effect on fuel efficiency. For the 13-litre engine, this means up to 7 percent improvement in fuel consumption compared to existing engines at the same power output. The 13-liter engine has a power range of 368 kW to 450 kW and offers up to 11 percent more power and 21 percent more torque than existing engines. The 11-liter engine has a power range between 202 kW and 368 kW.
