Anadolu Isuzu added the award it received within the scope of “The ONE Awards”, organized by Marketing Turkey magazine, to the awards it received in the fields of export, design, R&D and innovation. Anadolu Isuzu won the “Reputable Brand of the Year” award in the Commercial Automotive Category at “The ONE Awards” Integrated Marketing Awards, which includes many companies from different sectors and is considered the most prestigious award in the marketing industry.

CHOICE FOR AUTONOMOUS BUS PLATFORM:

Otokar e-Centro

Turkey's leading bus brand, Otokar is breaking new ground in the field of autonomous technologies. Imagry, which specializes in mapless autonomous driving technologies, preferred Otokar's electric bus e-Centro for its new autonomous vehicle project to be commissioned in Israel. Within the scope of the project, the autonomous driving platform (AD) developed by Imagry will be implemented on Otokar e-Centro and these autonomous vehicles will be used in public transportation in two different places in Israel.

The first autonomous e-Centro will start service at Israel's largest medical center this month, while the second will be commissioned in Nahariya urban transport in a few months. Both vehicles will be used by Israel's leading public transport company, Nateev Express. Thanks to these two pilot programs, the people of the city will have the opportunity to experience autonomous driving individually for the first time.

FORD OTOSAN AND EBRD CONTINUE TO JOIN POWERS FOR AN ELECTRIC FUTURE

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide the company with an additional loan of 200 million Euros to financially support Ford Otosan's next generation commercial vehicle investments, including fully electric and hybrid electric PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid) vehicles.

The financing package consists of a loan of 54 million Euros from the EBRD's own resources and a loan of 146 million Euros from other lenders within the framework of the bank's A/B syndicated loan structure. In this financing model, where the EBRD is the registered lender for the entire loan amount, other commercial banks and private sector lenders that meet the required qualifications participate in the EBRD loan at market conditions. Participating lenders include the Green for Growth Fund, HSBC, MUFG, Société Générale and ILX.

The loan, provided as part of the EBRD's effort to finance the transition to a green economy, supports Ford Otosan's goal of leading the electrification of the automotive world for a more sustainable future. The loan is an extension of the 650 million Euro loan given to Ford Otosan in 2021 to finance the next generation production of Ford Transit Custom Family, including environmentally friendly, fully electric versions.

VEHICLES MANUFACTURED BY FORD OTOSAN LEAD FORD TO THE LEADERSHIP IN EUROPEAN COMMERCIAL VEHICLE SALES FOR THE 8TH TIME IN A CONSEQUENCE

Produced at Ford Otosan Kocaeli factories, Transit Custom became the best-selling van vehicle in the one-ton segment in Turkey and Europe, and was named the best-selling vehicle of the year in the UK.

Ford became Europe's commercial vehicle sales leader in 2022 with the production power of Ford Otosan, the commercial vehicle base. This marks eight consecutive years of market leadership for Ford and marks a new record in the industry. The most important share in this record was the Ford Transit Custom, which has the title of the best-selling commercial van in the one-ton segment in Europe, produced at Ford Otosan Kocaeli Plants.

With the success of Transit Custom and the production power of Ford Otosan, Ford reached the highest total market share ever in Europe with 15 percent while it has increased its market share year by year in 11 countries, namely England, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden and Turkey.

NORTH AMERICA'S FIRST 100 PERCENT ELECTRIC MINIBUS: e-JEST

KRONE GROUP INCREASED ITS TURNOVER TO 2,5 BILLION EURO

MAN Truck and Bus Trade Inc. held its 2022 2nd Term Authorized Services meeting in Ankara. WITH THE “PAPER-FREE OFFICE” PROJECT, PAPER CONSUMPTION AT AKSARAY TRUCK FACTORY DECREASED APPROXIMATELY 50 PERCENT

Directing the bus and truck industry in Turkey with the state-of-the-art vehicles manufactured at the Hoşdere Bus Factory and Aksaray Truck Factory, Mercedes-Benz Turk also leads the industry with its environmentalist steps within the scope of sustainability. Prioritizing the protection of nature in its production activities and investments, the company aims to emit zero CO2 during production until 2039 in line with its “Green Goals” program.

Mercedes-Benz Turk, which has added a new one to its environmentalist applications in line with the aforementioned goals, successfully continues its project called "Paper-Free Office" in all sections of the Aksaray Truck Factory. The company enables processes to be improved with the digitalization studies it carries out within the scope of the project, where it significantly reduced the number of prints. Considering that the success of the project is directly proportional to the adoption by the employees, Mercedes-Benz Turk also carries out extensive activities to ensure that the Paper-Free Office culture is adopted by all its employees.

MERCEDES-BENZ TURK WILL PROVIDE ITS ENERGY FROM THE SUN

Maintaining its leadership in the heavy commercial vehicle industry for many years with the vehicles it produces and the technologies it develops at the Hoşdere Bus Factory and Aksaray Truck Factory, Mercedes-Benz Turk continues to be a role model in the sector with its "environmentally sensitive production" approach.

Aiming to reduce its carbon footprint with both its production activities and its vehicles, the company continues its efforts to leave a cleaner world for future generations. The company, which has implemented many projects on energy efficiency in 2022, as in previous years, continued to take important steps in the field of green energy.

Mercedes-Benz Turk, which also works to improve the energy efficiency projects it has implemented at the Hoşdere Bus Factory, achieved energy savings of more than 41% per vehicle in 2022 at the Hoşdere Bus Factory compared to 2007.

The company, which established the solar power plant at the Hoşdere Bus Factory in 2019, has prevented the emission of 261 tons of CO2 since the establishment of the power plant, and 82 tons of CO2 only in 2022. The factory reached the lowest value in 2022 in specific energy consumption with the applications put into use.

The company, which started to work on the installation of a 3470 kWp solar power plant at Mercedes-Benz Turk Headquarters & Marketing Center, plans to complete the project in 2023. With the commissioning of the solar power plant, the company will supply approximately 80% of the electrical energy needs of the Headquarters & Marketing Center from green energy.

Mercedes-Benz Turk also started field work for the installation of a 6 MWe solar power plant on the hall roofs of Aksaray Truck Factory in line with its goal of becoming a "Green Factory" in 2022, when the energy survey was conducted and the roadmap for CO2 emission reduction was prepared. With the commissioning of the said power plant, the company aims to significantly reduce the amount of CO2 released to nature.

SCANIA'S ELECTRIC TRUCK STARTS OPERATIONS IN SWEDEN MINES

Scania's electric heavy dump truck has started operation at the Malmberget LKAB mine in northern Sweden. Scania will also have the opportunity to test its fully electric trucks in the harsh underground mining environment.

It is reported that the Scania electric truck, which is the first of its kind in the mining industry, has a total weight of 49 tons, including the load. It is stated that Scania and LKAB have joined forces to achieve a higher level of sustainability, and they see this cooperation as a step towards the future and sustainable transportation.

It is stated that Scania P25, used by LKAB, is P cabin type, the number 25 means 201-250KW, there are two types of battery capacity options, the five-cell Lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 165 kWh and the nine-cell Lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 300 kWh. It is stated that the engine power of the vehicle is 230 kW (310 HP) in continuous use, and it can instantly increase to 295 kW (400 HP) when power is required.

SCANIA BREAKING THE METHOD WITH ITS MODULAR AND FLEXIBLE NEW CHASSIS MACH

Scania continues to be a pioneer in its sector with its continuous development-oriented innovative approach. Within the scope of this philosophy, from January 2023, only MACH (Modular Architecture Chassis) chassis vehicles will continue to be produced.

Along with the MACH architecture, the chassis used in NTG models since 2016 will be bid farewell and all options will be shaped on the MACH architecture. With this new modular chassis, customers will be able to choose Scania models with the most suitable alternatives for them.

The most important feature of the MACH chassis is that it comes with new fuel and SCR tanks. Fuel tanks in the flexible chassis can be positioned at the front or rear according to the customer's request.

Mach Chassis is now more versatile than ever in the Scania modular system. The new design not only facilitates the smoother bodybuilding process of Scania vehicles, but also increases payload potential while providing more possibilities for optimum load distribution.

Scania's D-shaped aluminum diesel fuel tank series features a new geometric design that is lighter and more robust than ever before. The tank range, which is offered in many different sizes from 165 liters to 910 liters, combines the strength of a cylindrical body with the volume advantages of a rectangular tank.

Scania's side-mounted SCR tanks are a crucial part of the drivetrain's superior emissions control. Scania Twin SCR system offers higher AdBlue volume capacity through 123 liters and 150 liters SCR tanks, while providing a one-to-one volume ratio between fuel and AdBlue capacity.
