“IN TIME OF DISASTER, MAN IS WITH YOU”

In the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş, MAN sent the items collected according to the needs list determined under the coordination of AFAD to the region in a short time with the efforts of its employees.

Providing the transfer of relatives of colleagues affected by the earthquake and earthquake victims who wanted to leave the region to Ankara; MAN's Workplace Health and Rescue units intervened with the institutional ambulance to support the people of the disaster region, ensured that they were sent to hospitals and participated in the search and rescue efforts. MAN employees also donated to the AHBAP Association with the cash donations they collected.

Alexander Vlaskamp, Chairman of the Board of MAN Truck & Bus, announced additional donation details during his visit to Turkey with Michael Kobriger, Member of the Board responsible for Production and Logistics. It was stated that within the scope of MAN's one million Euro more emergency aid donation in addition to the Volkswagen Group's donation of one million Euros, five fire extinguishing and sprinkler vehicles will be donated to the provinces in the region to be used against possible fires, especially in tent cities and that the tents, generators and related equipment would be procured and given to NGOs.

It was stated that a campaign was launched with the slogan " IN TIME OF A DISASTER, MAN IS WITH YOU ", and that 24/7 free road service is provided so that the aid of all MAN branded trucks, tow trucks and buses serving in the earthquake area is not interrupted and can be continued uninterruptedly. It was mentioned that it would be sufficient to call the MAN Roadside Assistance phone number 444 4 624 for free road service.

10 MILLION TL DONATION FROM AKFEN HOLDING TO AFAD'S AID CAMPAIGN

Akfen Holding announced that it has decided to donate 10 million TL to the TR Ministry of Interior Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) for use in search and rescue operations in the said regions after the earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and affected many of our cities.

Making a statement on the subject, Selim Akın, Deputy Chairman and CEO of Akfen Holding, said that; "After the earthquake disaster that left us sad, we decided to make donations to the accounts determined by AFAD, and we wanted to be a pioneer. We believe that we will heal our wounds as soon as possible by joining hands in solidarity."

BOEING: “WE ARE WITH THE TURKISH PEOPLE AT THIS HARD TIME.”

Boeing took action to help those affected by the earthquake disaster in Turkey. Boeing Turkey General Manager and Country Representative Ayşem Sargın said that; “We are deeply saddened by the loss of life and destruction caused by the great earthquake disaster in our country. We wish mercy to those who lost their lives in the earthquake disaster, our condolences to their relatives, and a speedy recovery to the injured. We cooperate with aid organizations to support areas of need. We stand with the survivors and our country with all our hearts.”

It was stated that Boeing made a donation of 500 thousand dollars to the Turkish Red Crescent in order to support the relief and rescue efforts after the earthquake disaster in Turkey, and this donation, which will be transferred to the Turkish Red Crescent through the Boeing Charitable Fund through the American Red Cross, will be used in the aid and rescue efforts.

Boeing International President, Dr. Brendan Nelson said that; “The destruction caused by the earthquake is enormous and requires a global response. As the Boeing family of 156 thousand people, we stand by the Turkish people in this difficult time. We work with aid organizations to bring aid to the needy areas as quickly as possible. We offer our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. Those affected by the earthquake disaster will always be in our thoughts and hearts.”

Boeing Vice President of Public Operations, Ziad Ojakli said that; “Our priority is to support earthquake survivors in Turkey. Through the Red Cross and Red Crescent teams, earthquake survivors in the region will be able to access vital services, disaster relief, and hopefully then focus on recovery and rebuilding processes. We are grateful to the Red Cross and Red Crescent teams for their services.”

DKV: WE WILL HEAL OUR WOUNDS TOGETHER

After the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş, DKV announced that they donated 500 thousand TL (25,000 €) to aid organizations and started a donation campaign to meet the needs of the earthquake victims.

DKV's statement is as follows: “We are in deep sorrow due to the heavy loss caused by the earthquakes in our country. As DKV Mobility, we acted quickly and donated 500 thousand TL (25,000 €) to aid organizations to meet the needs of earthquake victims.

We also launched a fundraising campaign with the participation of all employees of DKV Mobility across Europe. The amount collected through this campaign will be transferred to organizations that provide aid and support to the earthquake-affected regions. Many of our employees have already provided support. The amount of donations collected is increasing day by day.

On this occasion, we wish God's mercy on those who lost their lives in the earthquakes, our condolences to their relatives, and a speedy recovery to the injured."

TRANSPORTATION SUPPORT FROM GÜRSEL TOURISM TO DISASTER REGIONS

An aid mobilization was launched for the devastating earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş's Pazarcık epicenter and affected 10 provinces. Making a statement on the subject, Gür-Sel Tourism Transportation and Service Trade Inc. Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Hürer Fethi Gündüz, said that; “We are deeply saddened by the earthquake disaster in our country. We wish God's mercy on our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake, our condolences to their relatives and a speedy recovery to all our wounded.

As Gürsel Tourism, from the first moment of the disaster, we kept in touch with the relevant institutions and organizations and received a quick reaction with all our group companies. We organized expeditions to Gaziantep and Hatay. We used 25 of our buses for intercity transfers, and 15 of our buses for the transportation of earthquake victims to different places in the city. As of February 13, we covered a total of 55 thousand km. We transported 3,000 earthquake victims in our vehicles. We have worked with Afad, Ahbap Association, Tog Foundation, Ulus Private Jewish Schools, Private Üsküdar Sev Kindergarten-Primary School-Middle School Institutions, Contemporary Life Association and Voluntary Health Organizations and other Non-Governmental Organizations. We would like to thank our team of 45 drivers and bus captains working under difficult conditions.

KAMILKOÇ MOBILIZED ALL ITS RESOURCES FOR THE DISASTER REGION

Kamilkoç took the necessary measures in cooperation with all relevant official institutions, especially AFAD and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, in Kahramanmaraş and surrounding provinces.

It was stated that; carrying the search and rescue teams, health workers, Turkish soldiers “Mehmetcik” and security guards from airports and other cities to the region, Kamilkoç mobilized all its resources. The company, which was stated to have opened many additional flights in addition to its scheduled flights to the earthquake zones from the first day, added 112 additional flights to increase the transportation opportunity to the region and stated that they were constantly increasing and updating the flights according to the demand. It was also stated that water aid was provided to the disaster area.

As the constitution of our company and as Vehbi Koç said, “Remember! We exist as long as our state and country exist.” We would like to reiterate that we will continue to support uninterruptedly in order to heal our wounds. We believe that we will get through these difficult days together with solidarity and cooperation. Condolences to our nation."
