Alp Özler Group celebrated the end of 2024 and the arrival of 2025 with a full-day event held on January 18, 2025, at Ankara Grand Mercure Hotel. During the event, which was attended by company employees, all changes and developments within the group in 2024 were shared with the participants, along with plans and goals for 2025. Following the educational sessions, employees relieved the year's fatigue at the gala dinner.

Innovations of 2024

The ceremony opened with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, followed by speeches from the Alp Özler Group Board Members. Alp Özler Board Member A. Gece delivered the opening speech, highlighting the major activities of 2024. He acknowledged that 2024 was a challenging year but emphasized that Alp Özler Logistics continued its operations without slowing down. Gece mentioned that Alp Özler Logistics primarily focused on meeting Turquality requirements, participating in logistics fairs, prioritizing training, renewing its website, becoming a member of EcoVadis, and implementing road inspection vehicles. He also noted that 150 new vehicles were purchased during this period, and agreements were made with two different brands for 2025. Expressing pride in the continued work of Alp Özler Academy, Gece announced that a new facility had been acquired for the Academy at the Ankara Logistics Base for 2025. Furthermore, in March 2024, Alp Özler Group acquired Murhak, one of the leading companies operating in Europe, and ongoing efforts were being made to renovate, expand the vehicle fleet, and restructure the company.

Special Award from Coca-Cola

Gece also revealed that at a supplier meeting organized by Coca-Cola in Istanbul in 2024, Alp Özler Logistics was recognized with an award for achieving an on-time delivery rate of over 99.9%.

Additionally, Gece announced that new clients had been added to their portfolio.

Regarding developments at Yılnak, he shared that a bonded warehouse had become operational and that significant progress had been made in wind turbine transportation.

While acknowledging that 2025 would be more challenging, Gece assured that they would overcome difficulties through new clients, investments, and business expansion.

From Two Trucks to Over 150 Owned and 120 Leased Trucks!

Following Gece’s speech, Domestic Operations and Business Development Manager Alperen Gece gave a presentation on domestic operations. He highlighted that the domestic department, which serves all seven regions and 81 provinces of Turkey, initially started operations in 2002 with just two trucks. Today, the company operates with over 150 owned and 120 leased contract trucks. Alperen Gece detailed the operations conducted over the years for the attendees.

Another speaker at the event was Board Member Mücahit Gece, who emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity on the path to success. He illustrated his points with storytelling, showcasing his expertise in public speaking. Regarding expectations for 2025, he stated that the company would focus on maintaining its existing structure.

Yılnak Expands into the Crane Industry!

Speaking on behalf of Yılnak, Senior Project Manager Mustafa Kuyubaşı stated that they first rented an office in İzmir, where two of their team members have already started working actively. Kuyubaşı also mentioned that they have opened an office in Georgia, emphasizing that Georgia serves as a central gateway to the Turkic Republics. Additionally, he announced that on January 6, 2025, they purchased two cranes from a Chinese manufacturing company, marking their entry into the crane industry. Kuyubaşı further stated that the number of cranes in their fleet would increase and that they are currently working on a highly significant software system. He also noted that in 2024, they received the second-best supplier award from one of the manufacturing companies they transported for and expressed their ambition to crown this achievement with the best supplier award next year.

Hakkı Abdik, who joined Alp Özler Group companies as the General Manager of Murhak in 2024, stated that Alp Özler has expanded into Central Europe through Murhak. He also shared details about the services Murhak offers with the participants. Continuing his speech, Abdik expressed his gratitude to the entire Alp Özler Group.

Speaking on behalf of Alp Özler 2nd Hand, Uğur Çetinkaya stated that they had a successful year in 2024.

As the event continued, news anchor Tijen Karaş conducted a training session where she shared key insights on effective communication and proper pronunciation with the participants.

Following the full-day event speeches, the newly hired employees who joined Alp Özler Group were announced, plaques were presented to employees with over 10 and 20 years of service, and a gift raffle was held.

The event concluded with a gala dinner following the closing speech by Alp Özler Group Chairman of the Board, Dursun Gece.

Speaking to MyTruck Magazine after the event, Alp Özler Group Chairman of the Board, Dursun Gece, said that: "After my teaching career, I worked as an employee in transport companies for six years. After that period, I founded my own company. At the time, I didn't own any vehicles, we were operating as a forwarding company. In 1996, we acquired our first vehicles. Over time, having clients like Coca-Cola accelerated our growth, and our fleet has expanded to its current level. We have been handling Coca-Cola operations for 28 years, but Coca-Cola accounts for only about 25-30% of our total revenue. We have other long-term clients as well. I believe we have progressed by conducting our business properly, honestly, and with a strong sense of ethics and justice. Education is the foundation of everything. Companies that do not invest in education have little chance of significant progress. Of course, there is practical learning gained through work experience, but complementing that with structured training from experts has become essential. In this digital era, failing to pursue ongoing education means falling behind in the industry. With this mindset, we ensure that our employees receive the necessary training. We never see the money spent on education as wasted; instead, we continue to invest in it. In 2025, our training programs will continue. We have established an academy and are relocating it to the Logistics Hub this month. Our goal is to expand our training programs, starting with captain training and heavy transport training, into other fields as well. Education is essential in every aspect of life. We are responsible for fulfilling these requirements."
