CERAN LOGISTICS CONTINUES ITS RISE WITH DAF!

DAF continues its deliveries without slowing down. DAF Trucks Turkey completed a delivery to Ceran Logistics through Meyeks Automotive in January. Recognized across Europe and a key supplier in Turkey’s logistics sector, Ceran Logistics received 25 DAF XG+ 530 tractors in a ceremony held at their warehouse. Attendees at the event included DAF Trucks Turkey General Manager Atila Kaya, Meyeks Automotive Chairman of the Board Fatih Cömert, General Manager Mustafa Cömert, Branch Manager Ömer Gündem, Service Manager Haydar Avin, Ceran Logistics Chairman of the Board Ömer Ceran, Board Member Öner Ceran, and other Ceran Logistics employees.

Speaking at the ceremony, DAF Trucks Turkey General Manager Atila Kaya shared the company’s goals for 2025. Kaya announced that by the end of 2025, they aim to integrate at least four more dealerships and service centers into their network. Additionally, their target for 2028 is to achieve a 10% market share in tractors and 5% in trucks.

Evaluating 2024, Kaya stated that they have built upon their 2023 activities and made significant progress. With a market share of 6%, they have moved up from the lower ranks, and they have achieved a 400% increase in the truck market. Noting that their focus for 2024-2025 is the construction sector, and they have started bringing in demo vehicles, which will go on sale in 2025, Kaya said that: “We have not yet reached the maximum level in the tractor market. Our goal is to reach a 10% market share in tractors and 5% in trucks by the end of 2028. Although we have seen a 400% increase in the truck market, Turkey’s truck market figures are quite high, so we still have a long way to go. After introducing our demo vehicles, we will begin training sessions and organize a customer-focused roadshow this year. Through our dealerships, we will further promote our trucks to customers. Moreover, in 2025, we plan to add at least four more dealerships and service centers to our network.”

“Regime Change in Syria will be an Advantage for Turkey”

“When Reconstruction in Syria Begins, We Expect Most of Our Used Vehicles to be Directed There”

Mentioning two significant current issues, which are regime change in Syria and the Russia-Ukraine war. Regarding the situation in Syria, Kaya said that: “I am confident that regime change in Syria will be advantageous for Turkey. There are discussions that Turkey will be involved in Syria’s reconstruction, and developments are moving in that direction. If these discussions materialize and the Syrian market opens for reconstruction, I believe most of our used vehicles will be directed there. Currently, Turkey’s second-hand market is significantly congested. For new vehicle sales to stabilize, the second-hand market needs to recover. If the discussions regarding Syria conclude positively, it will present a long-term opportunity for us.”

“An Agreement Between Russia and Ukraine Would Benefit the European Market”

Speculating that an agreement might be reached in the Russia-Ukraine war this year, which could ease sanctions, Kaya stated that: “If such an agreement is reached, the Russian market might reopen, which would be an advantage for the European market. Currently, the European market is also quite stagnant.”

Meyeks Automotive Branch Manager Ömer Gündem, Service Manager Haydar Avin and Spare Parts Manager Hakan Baykuş, who made the delivery, spoke for the readers of MyTruck Magazine on behalf of Meyeks Automotive; the first 3S Plaza of DAF Trucks Turkey, based in Izmir, which started its first activities in the automotive industry in 1984, 2015.
